1982 penny rim question

    I see this in some of my coins. This coin shows the bottom of the observe is wider than the top. Is that normal sometimes and if so when would it be something I need to check out further. I hope that makes sense. 1982 penny obverse.jpg 1982 penny reverse.jpg

    It’s a Misaligned Die strike more commonly called a MAD. They are common in all denominations.

    Cool I have heard everyone talk about MAD now I understand. Unless they go into the letters or numbers then the coins would be spenders.
