1982 no ridges and off center?

    I found this today it's a 1982 quarter without ridges. As far as I can tell I mean looks like an error to me but I'm no expert. LIBERTY is cut off up top... Off center too?

    No an error. Just a damaged/altered coin after it left the mint.

    Look up "spooned coins" and "dryer coins".

    looks like someone started "spooning" that quarter. hitting the edge to make a ring.

    Another way ridges quickly disappear from coinage is through general circulation.
