1982 No mint Small Date 3.11?

Hi Just came across a 1982 small date 3.11 do I have yet another penny to add to my collection? I know the Denver mint is is the Holly Grail, just not sure about the Philadelphia small 3.11 can anyone shed some light on this for me

At least I think I have the date and the small date correct... I think...lol

 

It can be confusing there where 7 different coins made that year of the 82 if memory serves me here one that helped me.

It does look like you have a 1982 Small Date Copper Cent you can add to your collection.

 

Looks like some environmental damage but it will make a good place holder for a 1982 SD Copper until you find something better.

IMO, the easiest way to tell the LD from SD is look at the 2 in the date. @Dave363 posted a some good pics. You can also find these pics on the web if you need a reference sometime in the future

 

Yes it's a damaged 1982 small date copper. Worth 1 cent.

Don't feel too stressed about it. There are 7-coin sets of BU 1982 cents floating around all over the place - cheap, cheap.

 

That’s cool... now to find that elusive 1983 3.11...

Small date copper. Small date p mints zinks are the better ones. Not counting small 82d bronze(brass. Copper) whatever
