I have had this for a long time. I not sure if it was damaged buy a coin wrapping machine or while being struck? I have never seen a coin machine so strong to do this much damage. any help would really help!
Looks like the rim was damage in circulation Post mint. I have a Roservelt dime were the rim was pushed up from circulation damage that i thought it was a cud at first. JC

The area below the date is post mint damage, the area from the L to just beyond the I looks like it could be the result of a collar clash.
