I recently found what I believe to be a 1982 DDR. I just wanted other opinions on this coin, and wondered what the value of these would be.
I believe what you have there is machine doubling. compare with the photos of the 1982 ddr here... http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1982&die_id=1982p1dr001&die_state=mds
Machine doubling reduces the normal size of the devices. Your coin is an example of machine doubling. http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/---MACHINE_DOUBLING_REDUCES_DEVICES_01.jpg http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/---MACHINE_DOUBLING_REDUCES_DEVICES_02.jpg http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/---MACHINE_DOUBLING_REDUCES_DEVICES_03.jpg http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/---MACHINE_DOUBLING_REDUCES_DEVICES_04.jpg http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/---MACHINE_DOUBLING_REDUCES_DEVICES_05.jpg
