Do you have a gram scale?

Copper Planchet weighs 3.11 grams
Copper plated zinc planchet 2.5 grams

1982 Cents were made in both composition of planchets.

Now this is the important part.. If you find a 1982 D Mint Copper Cent you have an ultra rare variety.
Your Cent is not D Mint and you haven't determined the weight so it doesn't really matter.
