Here is a coin I’ve had for many year, the 1982 Belize 10 Dollar Mule KM-80 with “wrong” reverse. Mintage used to be listed as “3 pieces” in Krause, 17 in Schon. This coin toned but nice surfaces - Franklin mint unc. Copper/nickel not often seen with this dark of a toning, target like so not likely due to dip. It has toned more in the 20+ years I’ve had it. anyway, nice looking coin and rare in any case: Ordinary reverse:
You always seem to have some cool stuff. I quite like the pastel target toning on that. Not a common thing on copper-nickel.
There are worst titles to aspire to. Some here seem to be vying for the “King (or Queen) of Roadkill Zincolns”, for example…
None known. The bird side (reverse?) from 1978 - maybe they were thinking of going back to the same design of 1974-1978?
Maybe. The Cook Islands reverted to an old design in 1992 - I think I read in an old coin magazine that they couldn't afford production of new dies but I could be wrong.
