1981D Die Clipped penny??

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I JUST found this. I had to post it right away. It looks like it's clipped. The reverse is not perfectly turned the right way when you flip the coin. The reverse is more like 20-30 degrees off.

    No Blakesly, but that don't mean nothin'.

    I'm inclined to think the coin was bashed in on the edge of contact but I'm no expert on these........

    It's so hard to tell! But I'm going to go with my gut feeling and say it looks like PMD, but I can't be sure.

    the angle of the 'clip' makes it look like PMD

    That's cool. Thank you though for your help. I'm about to buy that Andonstar microscope to get better pics.

    The scope is for general use of my search for varieties, not so much on this coin.
