Hi I have a couple of sheets (16 dollars per sheet) of uncut 1$ dollar bills, series 1981 with serial numbers starting with 99..is this worth more than face value or just a fun collector item? Thank you.
These typically go for more than double face value. Here is an example of 16 note uncut $1 notes from 1981 and what they sold for. Series 1981 stands out as being significant in the sense it was the first series to have uncut sheets made available to the public.
Worth more than face value as a whole sheet. And some would be interested in the serials, as they usually don't get up that high.
Thank you very much. Is there somewhere online I could check the specific worth? They were my dad's who recently passed OK, thank you. I will do that.
Ok, thank you. I posted pics below to see if anyone might be able to help me further determine their worth.
Well, like a lot of collectibles, it is worth what someone will pay. A quick search of eBay shows similar ones like yours going for around $50 a sheet for the same year and also starting with nine nine.
I have a sheet of 32 1 dollar bills. uncut. Block A&B. Serial numbers start with 99. i would like to donate it to a local auction. Aprox value please. Bob
Uncut sheets have serial numbers above 95000000. That way you can tell if someone is "creating errors" by doing fancy out-of-alignment or fold-over cuts.
I have a sheet of $1 bills 32 in the sheet they run from ABCD EFGH4 times 99844561 as a starting serial#, Washington DC mint, does anyone know how much as this is worth?
