    Type 1 the type 2 looks like it is an upside down S and has a larger curve at the top.

    I’m thinking a type 1. The S appears to be rounded where on a type 2 they are flat. Hard to tell from the photo as it distorts when I enlarge on my cell phone.

    I hate to tell you @Mountain Man, but not only are the mintmarks not verified by upright or slanted, you have the them backwards as well. (Your type II is a type I and your type I is a type II)

    I think they both looked like type 1s, but the second one looks like a repunched mint mark.
