Not saying that this quarter has increased value. Just what to know what this could be from or if its normal. Just trying to learn! Thanks ahead of time! :)

I noticed a color difference around the rim of this quarter, does this have an explanation?

bigbird. My best guess, based on that image is the reverse is PMD or post mint damage. The obverse looks to be a die chip.

Get close to it and use your macro setting. It helps to have a cheap tripod as well.

Ah - no you need a camera, like one you take pictures with, with a lens and other things.

OK good because one of the first things you need to learn is to take decent coin pictures. Meanwhile, don't spend this quarter and we'll wait for your pictures.

bigbird, when you take the photo it will help if you avoid glare in the area of the anomaly.

Looks like a beat up '81-D with a ding on the reverse. That's my opinion anyway, and I'm stickin' to it.
