1981 Lincoln with possible attached Freemason Emblem on Reverse

    Found this while searching bank rolls. Unusual to say the least and in all the years of searching I have never run across a coin with an emblem which looks to be attached to the coin. I would appreciate the Forums comments.

    It's not an error, for starters.

    Second, it's stamped on. The metal was merely displaced from Lincolns torso, creating a depression in the front, and an elevated area in the back.

    Wow that is crazy, anyone know the "whys" on this stamp?

    It's a Masonic symbol. Probably stamped as a pocket piece for Masons to carry ?
