    Your right IMO it looks flat and shelf like Machine doubling, Hub doubling is the one you really want. Others with more experience will look I am sure.

    This one too me did not look flat and shelf like, which we see I MD's ! IMO Lord knows I posted a bunch of them ! Lol

    The same doubling is seen on in the mint mark. Sorry to say that it is ME. The MM were hand punchedbinto the working die until 89'. If it were hub doubling the MM would not be doubled.

    You know I forgot they hand stamped mm till 89 ! Thanks !

    @Newbie69 And what now reads as mumbling, is why I don't post from my phone. Usually when the doubling is on the MM and the devices, it is MD. A doubled die can have an RPM also but doesn't happen to often.

    Lol we've all done it but not sure what devices is ! Maybe a term I don't know yet?

    Devices are the lettering, date etc.
