My 1980 P half dollar weighs 11.93grams. Is this within tolerance. It's not silver from what I can see. Any info would be great
Welcome to Coin Talk. the weight for a clad Kennedy Half is 11.34 grams +/- 0.454 grams. Your coin is .14 grams above the high end. I don't know if that's enough to mean anything. Wait for more experienced members to give their opinions.
Slightly out of tolerance but almost certainly not enough to really command premium. Now when you get one that's .4 grams out you may have something.
