1980 p Copper Nickel!

    ive got a 1980 p fire red jefferson nickel struck on a cent planchet. definatly ms 63 or better. does anyone know if i should get it graded and if so who should i send it to?? what are the current market conditions are like for errors... what are collectors looking for, graded, raw, modern, vintage coins or what? sorry no pic this time

    This by far the most common date for nickels struck on cent planchets. It's probably worth around $200 - $250 in BU condition.

    Yea you should definitely get it graded----by NGC IMO if you want top dollar for it when you sell it.If it is MS63 or higher that will have a (big) difference in the price of the error.
