    Hi all,

Just came across this one hunting a bag of pre 1982 pennies. It looks like a well-formed P on the reverse - but can it be? Has anyone seen anything like this?

    IMHO it's a stain.

I see a bunch of die polishing lines, just not a P anywhere?

On the reverse, under the steps, above the E and N in CENT.

P on the reverse? Simple, it was in a urinal!

Just damaged!! That could not have happened during the minting process.

    It's an upside-down small b.

    It’s not a P but it is a stain that looks like a P.
