1980 Canadian Maple Leaf 50$.. Worth?

Hi im new to the whole coin grading stuff and i found a BU (brilliant uncirculated i think, still in its plastic thing no scratches etc..) canadian maple leaf 50$ 99.99 troy gold ounce coin. I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me a rough estimate?

A few weeks ago I saw some of those going for upwards of $750-$850 each at auction.
I'm not sure about this date--I'm sure some other guys will be able to give you a better idea on the value!
