I have the uncirculated set of 1979 coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half, and Susan B. dollar) all still packaged originally. I even have the original U.S. Mint envelope that I keep them in. Its a set of both P and D mint marks, and I was just wondering how much it was worth? I got it as a present a few years back. Does anybody know?

I don't think it has gone up any from what the mint charged when they sold them...so The 2005 Red Book says think they run about $8-$10--and everybody knows that the redbook is not the best price guide but that is what I had right now...

Ok! Thanks guys! Heck, I would be happy if it was only worth $5 lol, because it was a gift and I didnt pay for anything ;)

If you took them out of the package and had them graded and came back with high grades, then they would be worth more. ;)

Maybe...you would have to make sure they would come back high so you wouldn't lose out on money...it costs a nice little bit to have coins graded.!!
