1979 SBA Dollar- strange marking

On the reverse there is a lineal marking starting at the rim by the O in one and continuing the the opposite rim. Bizarrely it comes up through the D in dollar and back down through the O. I have never seen anything like this before, so over to you guys with all the knowledge

It just looks like some oddity that has discolored the coin. Going over then under the "D" and over then under the "O" of DOLLAR rules out a strikethrough of any kind for me. ~ Chris

 

You are right about odd, so bizarre i will keep it out of curiosity
