Looking for help on a 1979-S Lincoln proof cent as to possible error. There are 2 Type2 coins in scans for comparison and the one on right is in question as to possible error--this coin shows hardly as much definition to devices as the coin on left.scan does not show red blotish on both side. The coin on left just came out of proof set and looks normal for the type... The question coin I put away for looking at later date..now is the later date. Any thoughts? Thanks

im not seeing any error ... might just be a late state die .. menaing near the end of the life of the die, the strike is weaker ... Im not seeing any error jump out at me ...

The one on the right looks like an abused proof.

No error! Just poorly stored in a bad environment for coins!

I don't see a loss of definition between the two coins, but the one on the right could foo you into thinking so because of the loss of visual clarity caused by the severe hazing that has occured.
