While average examples of these are I believe worth a tiny fraction above face value now according to some price guides (honestly, i haven't checked in years), you're currently not too likely in the real market to find anyone who will pay more than face value ($1.00) for the typical 1979 SBA. Unless, of course, it is a proof, some special variety, or an error coin, and even then the premium may still be pretty modest.
I like mine quite a bit. Worth something to me as a Type coin. I sold this one awhile back. You may want to look into the "wide rim" vs normal rim.
