Machine Doubling (MD), It's the same Double Strike or MD is something different? Thank again for your time.
Machine Doubling would be a "Double Strike", but a "Double Strike" is not a Doubled die. Doubled Die actually has doubling on the die, while machine doubling is when the die shifts slightly or moves for whatever reason to cause doubling on the coin. We have experts on here, that will be able to explain further if needed.
Did you play baseball as a kid? Did you ever hit a ball when you didn't have a good tight grip on the bat? Remember the vibration and how much it hurt in your arms? Machine doubling is due to the press not having a good tight grip on the die.
Machine doubling and Double Die is not the same, "That's clear to me". Thank for the explanation; then, Machine doubling can be a double strike. Or a simple strike shaking out the feature.
It is doubled die, with a "D" at the end, not double die. I don't understand your definition of double strike, I've never heard of, or used that term. Machine doubling is when the die moves for whatever reason and it gives the appearance of doubling on the coin, like a doubled die, but there are differences. This should help you: http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t60298/ http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t58425/
My definitions of double strike is that; "Hammering the planchet 2 times". The double image is not yet on the Die, but because the double shot the image on the planchet will be 2 times.
If a coin fails to be properly ejected from the striking chamber after being stuck and the dies come down again to strike the coin again, a double strike ocurs. Double strikes can occur with the second strike off center or on-center. So, machine doubling and a double strike are not the same thing, they are completely different.
