Was looking threw some rolls of pennies and found a few interesting ones. I also found what i think is a filled D. I was hoping someone else could verify before i try to authorize it.
First, welcome to the neighborhood! By authorize, I assume that you mean authenticate or attribute. Filled die chips in numbers and letters are not uncommon, and it probably wouldn't be attributable as a variety. Just enjoy it for what it is.....a neat conversation piece. Chris
What Chris said. Actually finding a '79D with an unfilled mintmark is harder than finding them filled.
