I was looking at my change I got back from the cashier at the gas station and noticed a very shiny coin.. turns out to be a 1978 s proof quarter.. There are a few details that don't look right and I was hoping someone could help me out.. The 8 in a 1978 looks like it's re punched. In God We Trust the E and the S. All the A's in STATES and AMERICA seem different. The last A in AMERICA is thicker than the rest.. The mint mark is thick.. any help would be appreciated.
