1978 P R die clash with proof

hello all I found this last night its 1978 p reverse die clash take a look you can see his chin in the feathers of the eagle and the bridge of his nose at the far left of the pic
the same pic with markers
here is the back of his head/hair the same pic with markers

am I right? or wrong again?

Whatever you see in this Quarter Overlay is what would be clashed...

 

the bridge of the nose and chin/mouth look like the lineup but the back of the head/hair does not so what is that mark then?

 

Yeah, the nose and chin look pretty good. I can't explain why the position of the hair is off. It may just be a random mark on the coin that looks similar.

Could be the result of two clashes with the dies being aligned a little different between clashes. One thing you have to consider about posted overlays, the people who make them tend to try their best to center them exactly. The dies in the press may not be centered exactly. So you have to consider that the overlay image may "wander" a bit to match what is seen on the coin.

IMHO it is a clash with a slight rotation.
