Hey Bud! Not a die break or a cud. Definitely not a Die break cud either. I just see an area with corrosion. If it was a Cud it would cover the area and you wouldn't be able to see the date. Each is a separate type of anomaly or error if you choose to categorize them.
It's a Dud. A Cud is when a piece of the Die breaks off. So when it strikes a blank planchet the metal from the planchet flows into the void. It appears raised on the coin. It's never added metal as some newbies think. Here are examples of Cuds from my collection..

thank's all of you for input, i though i had this one right did some research on cuds and "retain struck though errors" and other errors. I've been reading on the subject, It is not easy coin collecting.Thanks you all
