On the obverse side the E in liberty looks like an 8, the in god we trust doesn't really have a clear S and the bottom rim of the coin is cud? On the reverse side there is a chunk out of the rim and extra metal on the rim by the I in United. I know the coin has a lot of wear but these things look like they have always been there.
Just looks like nasty post mint damage. When a coin gets hit like that it can move metal and make it appear like something, but it isnt anything, just damage.
