Can't be, both side would be very large with everything between, rim to rim and the obverse isn't ... O-ha, the rim is normal size too ...
I have to agree with @ken454 . I see evidence of distortion on the obverse legend. Where is it written that both sides must become distorted equally? Chris
I'm going to go with vending machine damage. They still had a lot of vending machines back in the late 70s. And let's not forget about the nickel slot machines. I used to go through five or six rolls at a sitting on the nickel one armed bandit. But anything is possible. USMC60
Thanks for stopping by Fred . I know it's not a dryer and or, washer coin . I already had this one ( dry or washer coin ) check out at a local coin show and it's nothing like this one .
