1978 Canada cent die deterioration question...

    When I looked at the lettering of "D.G.REGINA", I thought the D, R and E had split serifs and thought maybe a doubled die. I cropped out the lettering and now think this is just a badly worn die. Am I correct? 1978cancenfullobv.jpg 1979cancencr.jpg
