    The Red Book only goes to PF65 but that lists at $7.00 but my OLD CoinValues list a PR69DC at $75.00....I would check on ebay to get a real price...or on a online auction site.

    You want an honest answer ? A couple of reasons - many folks trust the price guides as gospel. And since high prices get people excited and cause them to buy and sell more coins - they list high prices. But they don't usually list averages. They tend to list the highest price only. Read what they use to establish prices sometime - it's in there. High published prices also helps sell more magazines.
