1977 Quarter D Coin hunting find

    It’s don’t feel right not sure but it’s different by far.
    Metal detecting found it.

    If you think it is struck on a silver planchet, you'll have to weigh it.
    Odds are almost zero.
    The weight difference is very slight 5.75g compared to the clad 5.67g.
    I believe the 40% were only made in 1976 in San Francisco.
    How that planchet ended up in Denver is a mystery to me.
