    It's not often a star note has an error as they are replacement notes for one that was destroyed.

    I believe the error is a cutting error and is misattributed on the holder. Both sides are off.

    Sure looks like a cutting error to me. If it is a misaligned face printing, only the front (face) would be off center. However the back is also off center. This leads me to a designation of cutting error.
