1976 Nickel 3.9g

    Any thoughts? I came across this the other day. I weighed it and it weighs 3.9 grams. Thanks for any comments :)

    I will interpret what these guys are saying:
    This nickel has some serious post-mint damage. The lighter weight is certainly due to said damage. It looks to be caused by some sort of chemical or exposure to something that just ate away at the metal.
