  1. Hello and good evening,
hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekend. Can you please tell me if this is an error dime and what is it worth? Thank you very much for your expertise.

Might have spent some time under a lawn mower or in a food disposal. There must be 100 other ways to ruin your roosie.

Worth 10 cents although a vending machine wouldn't think so.

    DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged :yack:

Not a mint error of any kind. Probably worth less than 10 Cents in that condition.

Suggestion.. Create your future questions over at the Error Coins forum of CoinTalk. Not the What's it Worth forum.

Damaged, for sure, but interesting wear pattern. Or perhaps acid was involved, as mentioned.

    Welcome to Coin Talk Kim.
If you study the minting process and understand how coins are produced, and then ask yourself the question: How could this dime been minted this way at the mint? Then you could answer your question.
It is simply a badly damaged dime, which receive harsh treatment AFTER it left the mint.
