Damaged - heavily damaged 10c Might have spent some time under a lawn mower or in a food disposal. There must be 100 other ways to ruin your roosie.

Welcome to Coin Talk Kim. If you study the minting process and understand how coins are produced, and then ask yourself the question: How could this dime been minted this way at the mint? Then you could answer your question. It is simply a badly damaged dime, which receive harsh treatment AFTER it left the mint.
