Found this fine looking Bicentennial Half Dollar and I found a grease error in "Hall" in "Independence Hall" on the reverse side. The H and A are the grease die error. Is it worth more than its face value?
Hi and Welcome, It does appear to be a coin that was struck by a grease filled die. It is important to note that this is a relatively common type of occurrence. So it is an interesting find but when only a small portion of a coin exhibits this effect, the value is still the face value of the coin. Thanks, Bill
Oh thanks. I just liked the look of the coin until I saw the grease filled error and thought it was interesting.
