1976 Bicentennial Half Missing H in Hall

Is it an error or is it rubbed off. Pretty good condition so is it a grease error?

WSS, you'll probably find that the grease-filled die is one of the most common errors found on all denominations of coins and adds no premium to the face value of a coin except to a bidiot.

Depends on the coin, size of the struck through grease, date. Some collectors don't make a big deal about it but some do. I have some nice ones in my collection.

 

I found my first one! Was very happy and excited.

Agreed - Some struck through grease (like your pictured quarter) do bring a premium. I find it hard to believe that a missing "H" would bring much unless it is bid up by bidiots as cmp9ball stated.

 

Gotta love them. How would we make profits on face value error coins without them?

maybe I should start listing all my pseudo errors. I remember collecting the 1976 quarters with the incomplete drum rim thinking it was a big error back then (was still a teenager). Now, I don't know that they bring any premium because I haven't bothered to check!
