I had some crisp, brand new sequential bills and got all excited! I threw them up on ebay and they didn't sell so I did some due diligence which should have been done in the first place and looked up what other people had. Very common and very rarely sell for much if at all. Like everyone else said, they have to have something special about them on top of being crisp, uncirculated. Star notes perhaps? Serial numbers? All good stuff to look for but please, post photos! We love them and it always helps! Welcome to Coin Talk!!
Whats considered special Serial Numbers? What are use newbies looking for. I know what silver certificates ar and star notes. But I sure most newbies dont even know what we are looking at but a bill
Thanks for posting that. I had wondered about some of those terms when I've read them before. I learn something new every day.

That's sorta how I got started. A guy told me about playing liar's poker back in the mid 70's so I started looking for serial numbers with lots of the same number. It faded away as fast as it started for me, but I kept a couple of bills and for the last few years have started paying more attention to unique numbers and old bills. Bought a brick of $1's one time and ended up about 20 or so consecutive interesting consecutive numbers, and something to do while I waited for my granddaughter to get out of school.
