1975 raised error?

    i found an odd 1975 where the 5 seems smudged, it is raised higher than the tops of 1 9 7, any idea how common this is? its

    It is fairly common to see such. Although not easily provable, it is obviously post strike damage,and is most commonly caused by coin counters, wrapping machine, etc. It appears the "D" mint mark is also damaged and is in the same arc as the 5.
