I tried earlier and someone said this fit the error coin catagory so I hope this works. I got this nickel in my change 25 years ago and I have finally decided to find out what it is worth. Any guesses? Also, what would I call this coin?

Thank you very much for your help

Howdy sehertz - Welcome to the Forum !!

I'll wait and see what Mike says about it, but it looks like a genuine flip-over strike to me. No idea of value but I know they are not common.

At least I now know it is called a flip over strike. Thanks. Sorry for the bad pictures but I had to crop manually to get them under 100K

I could use a little help. Yesterday I posted a new thread labelled 1975 D 5C double die. I couldn't figure out how to post pictures to that one so I started this one. How do I delete the first post??

Very nice. It is a flipover double-strike. I'd say it's worth between $250 and $350 on eBay.

Thank you very much Mike. I think for that price I will just keep it and look every once in a while. I was dreaming of numbers with a few more zero's and an early retirement.
