The reverse. I find no listing for an RPM on your 1974-S coin.

Impossible to tell from your photos. Try taking a photo from directly overhead; crop out the area surrounding the mintmark, and then resize your image.

Are you using a digital camera or a USB microscope? I was hoping to see a close-up with a little more detail. Like this....

Neither...cozy mag app for android. Going to upload using digital cam soon as i get home.

 

Apps and USB scopes tend to use digital zoom; cameras can use either digital or optical zoom. The problem with digital zoom is that the close-ups become pixilated; optical zoom is better.

I've highlighted a few points of interest. The tail extending past the tail of the S. The broken southern serif. The curve behind the curve in middle of the MM. The northern serif of original MM protruding through.
