I just found a 1974D Half Dollar with doubling on the word TRUST. Does anyone have any information and/or value on this coin. It would grade about AU58 to MS60.
It is listed in the Cherrypickers guideand Redbook and is one of the better Kennedy DDO's. If slabbed it would sell in the $50 range, but if raw it would sell for $20-$25 on eBay. nice find!
If it's a strong double you should see doubling on WE TRUST and maybe on IN GOD. There may be a spreading on the RTY in LIBERTY also. There may be spreading a little on the date too. I have sold a few of these in the VF/XF range on ebay for $10-$20. There is a 1973 D with the same doubling which is much more scarce.
