On this 1974D Lincoln Cent part of Lincoln's jacket near the date is missing. Also, there is a doubling along Lincoln's face. I can see a slight rounding on the doubling which leads me to believe that this could be a doubled die. Does anyone know if this is a known error, or possible make a guess as to the coins value if any. Thanks.

It is flat and shelf-like...what you have is mechanical doubling and not a doubled die.
    Keep up the hunt!

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Part of the jacket missing is because of die polishing.
