had to use another camera these are better pix.....had this penny most all my life wanna see if it has any value????
It looks like the reverse has a die clash. I can't tell what is going on with the obverse with the pictures you provided. Try shooting the coin on the macro or if you have it, super macro setting.
ok will try more pix, i just got 2 new cameras so im new to how they work best setting n all that,,,,took a few more......
Yeah, I've had the camera I use for coin pictures for 9 years and only figured out that it had a super macro setting a few months ago Just bought a Cannon Rebel T5i this evening and I'm looking forward to getting some good coin pictures from it.
im useing a cannon powershot 12.1megapixels im getting better at taken pictures...lol let me know if ya need any more
The old camera I have is a cannon powershot 8mp. If yours is like mine(albeit better) you can switch to the "P" setting and then push and hold the macro button until it says "super macro". That's how mine works.
Mine dont have super macro, it goes blurry when i get realy close into the penny.. This my camera not a big fancy 1 like yours...canon powershot a3100 is
whats pmd mean? this is out my collection from when i was a kid........i dont collect now! is worth anythng?
Post Mint Damage. Your coin is a vise job. Two coins were pressed together leaving an impression of one coin in another.
Are you saying this is man made and not a mistake at the mint? I see 1974 pennys have alot of mistakes for that year! Iv held on to for like more then 25years........thought it might have some value
based on the year and how long iv had it i dont agree with you, if your saying its made to look like a mint mistake?fake counterfeit?
Well it is not an error. It is most definitely man made damage meant to resemble some sort of error. I have literally seen hundreds of these. Sorry for the bad news.
OK then, Gary. You're the pro and the rest of us know nothing about mint errors. I bow to your superior knowledge.
