1974 Paper US dollar stamped both sides with Red stamp of Morgan Silver dollar 1876 and with typed message "devalued by Opec" on the back.

Has anyone else seen this or have an opinion?

There's all kinds of stamps that are put on dollar bills after they leave the mint.
Ever see those "Where's George?" (Or whatever that one says.) You put the serial number into the website and your location, and you can see where this bill has been, IDK why they are tracking it.
Of course you need to provide a photo. Off hand I would say it's worth a dollar.

I vaguely remember these. A political statement at the time, probably coincided with the oil price increases in the 80's.

I have a stamp that says "Postage Rates Are Too High". I considered putting the stamp on my packages but thought twice, that maybe a disgruntled postal worker might destroy them. Instead I put this on one dollar bills. Still getting my message across. @Michael K not the mint, it's the BEP. ;););)
