    Why does my 1974 Jefferson nickel look the color of a penny?

    A true Nickel struck on Copper Cent Planchet would be smaller and thinner and weigh the same as a Copper Cent

    Nickels are - Composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel so the copper content will get darker with Environmental Exposure
