Wow, Another Soooo close thread. I got these as payment for fuel way back when. Two "nearly" consecutive 1974 $100 notes. I always wondered what happened to the middle note in the sequence. Interesting story as well. I bought these at face and it was a stretch. At one point had to dump one at my local dealer. He didn't really need it but gave me $105. Sat in his case marked $150 and an acquaintance of mine (who didn't know it was originally mine) darn near bought it. Well, I got on my feet and bought it back at $105. wow! nice shape too!!! that was awfully nice of the dealer to sell it back to you at the price he paid. that story should go in the thread about good/bad dealers!!!
