1974 half dollar error?

    I have 1974 half dollar coin with smooth edge. Is this rare or mistake?

    But the coin is same size or even bigger than other. I have two other that is grinded down and it doesn’t look like this one.

    something looks off to me? Like it was plated and sanded down to check alfully shiny?

    I did cleaned with soap and rubbed with towel. Maybe it was a mistake for me to clean it?
