1974 fiji pattern 1 cent

    Internet search shows an example of this pattern sold by Stephen Album Rare coins auction Sept. 18-20, 2014. The coin hammered at $440 USD. It actually looks like the OP coin, pre-slabbed. NGC has no details on mintage or value, but there is a KM# TS3 in CuNi too with same design. One source says this was likely an unadopted pattern of the FAO cent issued from 1977-82.
    I searched this on Google "fiji km# ts2 coin 1974"

    I had no idea. He asked for info so I did a google search. His own site seems to have the answers he's looking for :wacky:

    Ah nice, thanks.

    Not quite - it has all the information I could find but I couldn't find any information about where or why it was struck, which is what I was looking for. On World of Coins someone has pointed out that the reverse was used on 1977 Ghana 2 pound coins/medals which is interesting.
