    A 'spooned' coin.
    It happens when you strike the rim with a spoon, to try to make a ring, when flattened, you make a hole in the center.

    Treashunt, I thought it might have been that, but I wasn't too sure, because the "rimming" just looks a little artificial (like it isn't a part of the coin proper).
