It didn't fair well being from the 70's (1974), like many people.

 

It is considered corrosion. Some kind of chemical affected the copper and made it weigh less. Some blue chemical. Not a Mint Error of any kind.

 

How about this one?

Tared with an empty capsule before weighing on gunpowder scale.

ok i will save all these NG coins in a Tupperware

 

I found a wheat cent in an alley one day. (detecting) It was so paper thin you could have almost cut yourself. I think it weighed 1.3g
